BMZ & GTZ (Bundesministerium für Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung) (Gesellschaft für technische Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung) EXPO 2000 - Griot had the cutural management of the Africa Pavillion and organized  several hundred concerts, exhibitions and fashion shows. From all attractions of the Expo 2000 the Africva Pavillion was voted on place two by the visitors of the Expo. A big success. Compared to other participants of the Expo Griot worked with one of the smalllest budgets. Thanks to a good programme and the concentration on live events and a little team of highly motivated professionals the Africa Pavillion was a spectator magnet from the very beginning of the Expo. 40 years celebration in the Jahrhunderthalle Hoechst - with Johnny Clegg & Juluka and Nelson Mandela who highlighted the evening by dancing on stage with Johnny Clegg. Africa Gala des Deutschen Bundestages in Paul Löbe Haus Berlin - with Oumou Sy, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and many others.   Postdammer Platz Arkaden - two weeks programme under the One World Label. One World Day at Fifa Fan Fest Berlin Eschborner Fachtage and other events: cultural surrounding over various years. DWH (Deutsche Welthungerhilfe) Several years events and promotion and creative work: e.g. "Aktion Bücherschaufenster" with hundreds of concerts and lectures with many hundred promoters and book shops participating. A matinee at Bonn Beethovenhalle and a matinee at Stuttgart - Liederhalle presenting an africanised version of "Peter & the Wolf". Theater am Schiffbauer Damm etc.     MISEREOR  Various events - mainly concerts and shows related to the annual "Fastenaktion" of Misereor like concert and live tv show at Cologne Philharmony or a concert series with Francis Bebey down the river Rhein etc. MISSIO  Katai - a "Chineese" Opera with Thilo von Westernhagen, Charlie Mariano and Dietmar Mues at Alte Oper Frankfurt Africa at the Opera - with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Francis Bebey Quartet and Gcina Mhlophe at Cologne Philharmony and Essen Saalbau BPB (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) Two years fashion events, exhibitions and work shops with Oumou Sy e.g. at Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg or a walk with Doris Schröder-Köpf through Hannover during the Masala festival. Die Werkstatt der Schmetterlinge - a musical theaterplay based on the book of Gioconda Belli with compositions from Sergio Pinto Africa at the Philharmonics - Junge Garde Dresden - in cooperation with Dresdner Musikfestspiele - with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Gcina Mhlophe, Coco Mbassi, sam Tshabalala, Patrick Bebey and Jack Djeyim Meister aus aller Welt - a world music concert series directed by Griot in a beautiful venue in the heart of the Ruhrgebiet

SWR Big Band is simply one of the best big bands in the world:  three recent Grammy nomninations - 2002, 2003 and 2004 - underline their international reputation. For 2010 they are nominated for a Grammy again - catergory "best large jazz ensemble album". In it´s more than fifty years musical history SWR Big Band worked with musical guests like Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Chat Baker, Slide Hampton and many others. Most recent guests have been Paula Morelenbaum, Patti Austin. Toshiko Akiyosh and Sammy Nestico. Their latest project "Shosholoza" now brougth them together with Themba Mkhize - one of South Africas most profiled composers and musicians. TV is working on a 45 minute "making off" documentation of this unique project, which will be on the screens in Eurpe before the world cup 2010. "Shosholoza" is a programme full of South Africas most beautiful songs - and some totally unknown (but beautiful) music. The big band will travel to South Africa to present their new programme there.
